What to Read Where – Summer Book Giveaway

August 4, 2010 Competition

If we could choose from the What to Read Where List, we think we’d have Nocturnes

At Be Travel Savvy, we think choosing the right book for your holiday is as important as choosing the right destination. Don’t find yourself standing in the airport bookshop, listening to your flight being called and panic-picking something wholly irrelevant – better to do things properly and give it some careful consideration.

Alex Stewart, chief buyer at Stanfords, has come up with this great ‘What to Read Where’ list. Of course, you can read all of the books wherever you want, but we love the idea of tying in your holiday reading with your destination.

Established in 1853, Stanfords is the UK’s leading specialist retailer of maps, travel books and other travel accessories, so it’s the perfect place to buy those all-important A-Zs and guidebooks as well as your holiday fiction. Their flagship store in Covent Garden opened in 1901 and can justly claim to offer the world’s largest stock of maps and travel books under one roof. If you’re not in London, you can order online from the Stanfords website.

One lucky Be Travel Savvy reader will get to choose their two favourite books from the list below (sadly we can’t give you the accompanying trip.) Just answer correctly the question at the bottom of the What to Read Where list by midnight on 11th August. The winner will be picked at random and notified by email.

Examination of loss, lostness and trauma where Australian landscape mirrors the characters equally, unforgiving emotional terrain.
